Dedicated to preserving the cultural aspects of his homeland, Sonam views guiding as an opportunity to serve his country while sharing its unmatched hospitality, loyalty, and deep reverence for the King, country, and people. He encourages visitors to embrace the peace and harmony of Bhutan's traditions as an antidote to global challenges. During his tours, Sonam loves leading cultural excursions in Merak Sakteng, showcasing the views from Sagala, and trekking the majestic Jomolhari. Outside of work, he is an avid photographer, journalist, and mountain biker.

Always striving for excellence, Gembo continuously embraces challenges such as unavailability of rooms during peak season and lack of accommodation for guides and drivers at some hotels. Outside of guiding, Gembo enjoys spending time on personal interests, which include cleaning campaigns and traveling.
