Private Blessing Ceremony

A blessing ceremony in Bhutan is considered a very pious privilege for many, especially to have a spiritual master perform a special blessing ceremony just for you. Since such special ceremonies are considered out of the budget reach for a large section of the population, blessing ceremonies usually happen in mass congregation of devotees. Among the numerous blessing ceremonies offered to tourists, the most popular one is the wedding blessing ceremony, a ceremony that represents the bonding of two different souls, strengthening the vows of an already bonded couple, or to renew marriage vows. The actual ceremony can be arranged at the conference hall of your preferred hotel or to make the feeling more authentic, the arrangement can be made at a farmstay, presided over by a well known religious figure and attended by a few of your close friends and well wishers. The ceremony will begin with a ‘lhabsang’, a ceremony performed to please the local deities and invoke their blessings, followed by prostrations and lighting of butter lamps to accumulate merit.
